"Let's just say this is the last bridge. I've burned all the others . . . "

One of the books I am most excited about is Teri Coyne's first novel, The Last Bridge. I received an ARE (Advance Reader's Edition) of it from Random House in Denver. And . . . "WOW!" Cat hasn't been home in 10 years. But when her mom kills herself shortly after her father has a stroke, Cat returns to the home of her youth to find her mother's suicide note: "Cat, He isn't who you think he is. Mom. xxxooo"
If that kind of hook doesn't draw you in, I don't know what will! Throughout the entire book, we learn piece by piece the reasons why Cat (aka Alex) has not been home in 10 years. We also find out about whom the note was written. Most importantly, we find out, alongside Cat, exactly who she is capable of being.
This book is due to be published and available for sale on July 28, 2009.
